Manufacturing time
To create a porcelain Christmas ball, it's quite a marathon! First, pour slip (liquid porcelain) into a sphere-shaped mold, let it sit a little and then empty the excess.
Hop, we gently unmold everything, and it's time to dry! In the meantime, we take care of the attachment, molded in the same way, pierced and ready to be assembled. Once the two parts are together and completely dry, we refine the details by smoothing the seams. Then, head to the oven for a first 24-hour firing. Then, it's time for the enameling for the touch of shine before a second 24-hour firing. Finally, the ribbon and the little tie top it all off!
Moreover, to be ready on time, we started production in June. Yes, Christmas baubles have to be earned!
